As the Grants Manager, you will be working remotely or in a hybrid mode from SF or LA, closely with the Director of Development. Your primary responsibility would be to write persuasive grant proposals and manage funding requests that are crucial to the organization's expansion. They're looking for a candidate with excellent writing, analytical, and research skills, along with experience in handling online databases.

Sub Pop Records is offering a grand total of $18,000 in college scholarship money to three eligible high school seniors. There are three scholarships—each for $6,000! As longtime, proud losers ourselves, we’re exceedingly happy to be able, in some small way, to help further the education of art-enthused misfits from the NW. Individuals from all cultures and communities are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be residents of Washington or Oregon, and graduating seniors on the way to full-time enrollment at an accredited university or college. We are looking for applicants who are involved and/or interested in music and/or creative media and arts in some way. However, you do not need to be pursuing an education in the arts.

To apply: you must submit an essay, one page or less, using any combination of the following questions as a guide (or write something completely your own, be inspired and creative!). Please list the school you are graduating from and the school you plan to attend in the fall at the top of your essay, along with your contact information.

- What are you doing in the arts/music field in your community?
- What does being a Sub Pop ‘Loser’ mean to you?
- What are your influences and/or who inspired you to become involved in the arts?
- Describe your biggest failure and explain how it has brought you closer to your goal(s).
- Discuss a special attribute or accomplishment that sets you apart.
- How has your family or community background affected the way you see the world?
- Why should you be the Loser winner?

Wednesday (5/01), the festival will commence with the official “Sunset Pier Kick Off Party” at the Ocean Key Resort & Spa, featuring Dylan Marlowe and the Heartwreckers. As previously announced, Cole Swindell will headline the Coffee Butler Amphitheater on Thursday (5/02) with support from Restless Road and tickets are available here. Dallas Davidson will take over the annual free block party at Main Stage Duval Street on Friday (5/03). This year, new showcases have been curated such as the Key West Women’s Club female lineup along with “Sunday Church” at Williams Hall. More poolside opportunities, cocktail classes, workshops, and collaborative sessions will be announced in the coming months.

Throughout the day, a total of 8-10 exceptional acts will take the stage, performing their most well-known hits. This promises to be a day filled with incredible music, featuring artists at the top of their game, and attendance will not only ensure a memorable experience but also contribute directly to the crucial work of AFSP in the realm of mental health advocacy by participating in numerous auctions, raffles, and donation opportunities. Prizes will include signed albums from Grammy and Academy Award winning composer Bill Conti (Rocky Franchise, Karate Kid Franchise, and For Your Eyes Only), an autographed book from Vicki Hamilton (Former manager of Guns N’ Roses, Motley Crue and Poison), merch packages from the performing bands, and more.

The 2024 Wasserman Music x Howard University Music Business Insights Program, created to provide guidance, support, and inspiration to students seeking careers in all corners of the music industry, will encompass class takeovers and curriculum contributions for 30-60 participating students who will engage directly with leaders from across the entertainment business. This year's speakers include top execs from Wasserman Music, Live Nation, Atlantic Records, and Roc Nation and award-winning singer/songwriter/producer Cautious Clay.

"We are thrilled to return to Howard University with an incredible new slate of speakers and leaders from across the entertainment industry and the opportunity to empower another group of outstanding students who have the potential to help shape the future of the music business," said Denise Melanson, Senior Director of Social Impact for Wasserman.

This year's program will cover subjects across the full spectrum of the music business, including artist management, tour booking and promotion, music publishing, live event management, marketing, and more, with guest lectures from influential entertainment executives, lively in-class panels with top music business professionals, potential internship placement opportunities at Wasserman, and a "Warner Days Takeover" on-campus event during Howard's annual celebration that spans the breadth of Wasserman's businesses, including sports, music, entertainment, and culture.

The Music Business Insights Program is an outgrowth of Wasserman Music's partnership with prominent social justice organization Color of Change and its #ChangeMusic Roadmap. The program now returns for its second year at Howard University, proudly partnering with the Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts and the Warner Music/Blavatnik Center for Music Business.
